Yes, we work with most major health insurance companies. Check with your insurance company to see if your specific plan covers massage. You can also check to see if we're in network (currently, only Rachel Joyce accepts insurance) for you. It's handy if you know what your co-pay is too (if you have one). When you come in, make sure you bring your insurance card with you, because we'll need the information on it to bill your insurance. Questions? Currently, we have one massage room, so we can do one massage at a time. Unfortunately, the room is not big enough for couples massage. We often do two massages back-to-back for clients who come in together, so if you'd like to do that, we're happy to accommodate. There is a coffee shop just down the street and we have plenty of magazines, so you won't get bored waiting for your turn!
If you are a new client, yes. You'll need to complete a client information form and sign our cancellation policy. You can print complete the forms from home--just don't forget to bring them with you to your appointment! If you'd rather, you can complete the form in the office before your appointment. Just make sure you arrive ten minutes early to keep your massage on-time.
An accurate and thorough health history is essential, so please take your time with the paperwork and expect to be asked a few questions. It's for your safety and comfort. There are some health conditions that require a different approach during massage. And some (but few) health conditions prevent a person from receiving a massage at all. So please be honest and detailed in your answers.
Note: There is additional paperwork for clients receiving prescribed massage for motor vehicle accident injuries. Please arrive a minimum of ten minutes early to complete the necessary forms.
So you've scheduled your appointment and need to move it? Here's what you do:
First, pull up the confirmation email you received when you first made the appointment. At the bottom of the email you should see a message about rescheduling with a link. Click on the link and it will bring you to your appointment screen. From there, you can reschedule or cancel (but you don't really want to do that, do you?).
If you didn't get a confirmation email, it's because you didn't provide your email address when you made the appointment (or because your appointment is less than 48 hours from when you scheduled it). So give me a call or email me and I'll reschedule it for you.
If your appointment is less than 12 hours away and you'd like to reschedule, you'll need to call or email me to do so. REMINDER: Our cancellation policy requires a 12 hour notice for cancellations. Cancellations made less than 12 hours before your appointment are subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
